How do I upload my images?
It is a 4 step process: Register, Select an Album, Upload, DescribeRegister:
To upload images you need to register as a user on BIGREDTHING. This involves entering basic information. (You may be contacted for more information about you and your images).
After registering you can login.
Select an album:
Before you upload an image, you'll need to select an album for your image. You can add it to an existing album, create a new album or sub- album, or add them to "The In-Box Album". We may move your images or albums as the site grows.
Upload:
After you navigate inside the album you've selected, click on the "Add Items" link at the bottom of the page. There are several methods to uploading available. The easiest one is the first one "from Web Browser". Just browse your computer and select each individual image. If you have a bunch of files to upload consider using the Upload Applet (requires Java-capable browser) or download the Gallery Remote application.
Describe:
There are several ways to add information about your image. Some upload methods have a place to enter descriptive text in "caption" or "description" boxes while you are uploading. This information will be displayed under the image. After you've uploaded your images you can "Edit Captions" to add information about several items in the current album. Put your information in the "Description" box to have it show on the photo page. (you can also use "Edit Photo" to make other adjustments to your photo).
